More power???
Ok my name is Josh and I am fairly new to the board, i drive a 1990 CRX, 1994 LS motor, intake, header, no-cat exhaust. I was just lookin to get some input from fellow crx owners on what would be the best, most inexpensive way to up the horse power.
First off, welcome to H-T. Probably the best bang for the buck would be nitrous. There may not be a more affordable way to get the kind of gains you would get with a good nitrous kit. Just be careful with it. If that's not too your liking, maybe look into some cams and cam gears, and try and get your car tuned on a dyno.
NOS = cheapest power. next cheapest would be a a vtec head (converting it to an LS/VTEC), then next a home made turbo kit. (see http://www.homemadeturbo.com ) .... then next would most likely be built NA.
Id buy a new clutch if you havent and throw in a j1-ys1 tranny, thats the only thing that is really keeping that ls motor from performing like it should(the torque that is) the gearing on those ls trannys suck and needs to be alot more aggressive....while your in there throw in an act clutch(my preference)
Now really that isnt to expensive and you'll notice that more then putting on stupid bolt-ons.
Otherwise Id save up and go LS/vtec but if you do it right then it should NOT be an inexpensive mod, this will cost alot if done properly, which is the only way it should be done.

I've heard that the air flow on the B18a's is pretty bad; so do u think that maybe a new intake manifold, and throttle body would help much. Thanks
