'90 Civic DX fuel mileage
Hello all!
I am a real dumbass when it comes to my Civic. All I know is that it gets me to where I'm going. It has done so for over 14 years now without any problems.
My question is concerning improving my fuel mileage. Does my car have an ECU? If so, can it be re-programmed? Or are there chip upgrades that can be purchased?
Any info will be very helpful. Thanks

yes, ur dx has an ecu. do you get regular tune up's? did you change ur fuel filter? there are lots of things that can cause ur car to have a crappy gas mileage.
The current fuel mileage is about 35mpg. I am starting college soon and will be driving 60 miles one way. With the prices of gas the way they are I am looking to squeeze out every drop I can.
LOL. Yes, 35 miles per gallon is good. However, I am merely asking how to improve it, not if you think that it is "good". Your perception of "good" is reletive.
If I could somehow squeeze- say... 40 mpg out of the car, that would be "better".
I'm going for "better" here.
