mileage help please
hey guys, i just recently replaced my fuel filter on my 1999 civic dx 5 speed, i was getting 14 mpg city before the fuel filter, now that i changed it, i am getting 17.5 mpg city, but i abuse my car a lot haha, i redline it a lot and stuff, for a about 1/4 or 1/3 of the tank i would drive it like crazy. and i am running a crappy short ram intake right now, and i just ordered a quality cai, so i am wondering if i replace my intake with the cai and if i drive it easier will i be getting around 20-25 mpg? (this is all city btw)

Drive it easier FTW.
I have a 4-door DX also and I get great gas mileage, even in the city. In the warmer months I usually get 30+ mpg mostly city driving. When I drive mostly highway I get over 40 mpg with my all time high being 44 mpg.
I am a bit of a Hypermiler though, which is why my fuel economy is what it is.

Replace the Stock plugs and Plug wires with new. New Air filter.
Make sure your oil is not over filed.
Tire pressure and alignment.
Your Cat may also be clogged.
Are there any other mods on the car?
