A friend of mine has a 98 Civic EX coupe. As it is the coupe and not the Sedan it didn't come with ABS. Is it possible to swap in an ABS system and what would be involved in that?

Just buy better rotors and pads for the front and rotors for the back. My 2000 Si doesn't have ABS and the brakes on it are much better than my 96 EX with ABS. EX brakes suck!!! It's better to have disc at all four corners. Honda was cheap by putting drums in the rear so even with ABS the wheels could still lock up.

 

ABS sucks, don't bother.

 

Can the ABS conversion be done though? And what is involved.
