ive been working on a motor build up for a while and until recently i hadnt considered going turbo because of my lack of knowledge on turbo maintainence etc.

a friend of mine suggested the turbo route after i divulged the price tag of the an-r header i am saving for.

question is this: can i run a skunk2 stage2 cam setup with appropriate valvetrain and 6-9 psi boost on stock bottom end without blowing up?

my current goal was 200hp all motor, so hondata was already on the list of things to do. obviously with a turbo i could make a lot more power. at what reliability price though?

Grant, just buy my turbo and manifold for less than what you'd buy that header for.

 

sell the skunk2's and get some gsr cams. theres 500bucks, then buy a turbo kit for about 2000-2500 and youll be a lot happier than with your all motor BS

 

so ill have problems with the stage2 cams?

i figured that would be the answer. i need to make up my mind about which direction im gonna go before it gets warm out.

wouldnt want to change my cams, break in the motor again, and then change my mind.
