BFGOODRICH 205/50/16 CLEARANCE PROBLEM??
I called tire rack to order the 205/50/16 bfgoodrich kdw gforce2's and the guy said that they wouldn't fit into my car, he was almost refusing to sell them to me, so i went ahead and cancelled the order id rather ask and make sure if they will fit.
Can someone tell me if they had ever had a tire this size on an eg and will it be ok and not rub Thanks.
My setup is currenty
koni yellows
progress lowering springs
camber kit
16"VOLK te-37's with 205/40/16 parada spec 2's
Due to all the bent wheels ive had i need to go with a bigger sidewall im sick of having my wheels fixed all the time

i run 215/45/16 and i am on 2 inch drop and i don't rub unless i hit a bump under extremly hard turning at speed(so maybe 2-3 times ever). you will probably be ok.
2.75 drop on 215/40/16 kuhmo's only rubbed at full lock and hard bumps and the falken ziex (not moshimoto
) they are a little smaller still 215/40/16 and i havent rubbed yet with them. dont know bout the 50 series though

50 series on a Civic?
Only civic I can think of that could swing that size would be the 01-04 Civics.
I'd say the guy at Tire Rack was correct in refusing to sell those to you.
Oh and I'll echo that a good old 205/45/16 would be the ideal size IMO if you have a 96-00 Civic.
I'm just not a big fan of 16'' wheels on the 1992-1995 Civic because of the smaller wheel wells.

actually it'll rub more if the camber is set to 0.

That would make the diamater of the tire way over stock, thats why he wouldn't sell them to you. You really really don't want to get that size sidewall on a 16"
I have put those on my car before and hated it. The rear is where it made most of the noise. I'm not sure exactly how low my car was, but it scrubbed when I got on it, Carried more then two people, turned hard, speed bumps, etc.... In my opinion Dont get them!
I WISH I HAD 15'S BUT I DONT I GUESS IM JUST GOING TO GO WITH THE 205 45 16 FOR NOW ANYONE KNOW OF ANY GOOD TIRES LIKE DRAG RADIALS OF SOME SORT IN THIS SIZE??? I GUESS ILL JUST GO WITH THE 215 45 16
