n e one ever reuse head bolts b16a2?
hey people i reused my head bolts twice dont ask why on my b16a2 ive heard its a no no. then ive also heard it ok with hondas? i know they stretch so you dont get the same seal but i also had my head shaved .010 I noticed a little tiny oil run down on the front corner of the block were the head gasket is visible. am i ok or what do you guys think?
We've reused headbolts on both a D16A6 and a B16A first gen. We didn't know any better at the time, and they did leak a bit of oil. Yes, they're stretch bolts. Your best bet is to replace them.
tottally!
Some of the **** people out there will say -- "noo way...you gotta use brand new headstuds..bla bla bla..."
its ok to reuse headstuds, imo. Never ran into an issue reusing them, personally.
