Default 60ft times w/ d16z6

curious guys,

my 60ft time when i went out last year in my eg si hb w/ z6 + intake
was running 15.8 - my 60ft was 2.5 on 16' konig rated R's 70% avid h4s

i did have some bad launches as i was nervous on my first time at the track getting all sweaty in my palms lol

since summer i put dc sport exhaust on (believe it or not, i feel a majour diff) its not that loud even with my music off so its not a mental thing, just i boot it in 3rd when murging an it just climbs alot faster it seems, am i mental??

im thinking maybe break into low 15s by the time i hit the track this year w/ only intake + exhaust

waht would be a good 60 ft for a eg si w/ i/h/e ?? 2.2 is that unreachable or possible?

thanks guys

I met a guy who broke out a mid 14 with boltons in his z6 cx hatch. I saw the time slips too!

is it best to be shifting at highest HP rating on the specs of the eg si like > 6900 rpm? or take it into the red?

i beleive u could hit 14s with bolts on to a z6eg si hb

whats a satisfying 60 ft time? i/h/e on 92 si hb

You may want to take it a little past red so when you shift you don't fall so far out of your power band.

I'm running high 13's on my z6 with a greddy turbo kit...60' are always around 2.08 but that's with nitto 555 drags... my advice is just to get some drag radials and that should help out alot.

i haven't done better than 2.4 yet and i'm running Falken Azenies(sp?) at 20 psi. On street tires i'm not sure if you can do much better than that. Try some BFG T/A street slicks if u really want to cut down ur times. My times are very similer to yours. I'd be very interested if u even get your car into the lows w/ bolt ons.

Run the track with a smaller wheels. 16's vs. 14's at 18 psi with a better RT will cut at least 3-4/10's of a second.

I got a 2.20 w/ D16Z6, few bolt-ons and some weight reduction. 185-60-14 all season yok's on the steelies. It took alot of practice.

Slicks or Radials should take you down below your goal

2.2 13" steelies on bald no clue name street tires. Size was 175/65/13 I believe or something like that. Tire PSI was at 22.5 PSI.

15.25 was what it equated too.

DX shell with I/H/E that's it.

Hatch weight was 1980.

Temp: 78 degress
Time: About 11 o'clock last run of the night.

I'd say close to sea level.

That is about all the info I can give you. My site has the actual slip if you don't believe me also a video of the run.

i call b.s....... my 2.0 ls/vtec would only pull 1.8's all motor launching at 6500 and running 8.30's on slicks
