Default Drop vs tire size.

I am going to drop my car with Eibach Springs (Sportline) with the kyg abx ajustable shocks.... the springs lower the car 1.8 in the front and 1.7 in the back. My question is... what's the largest tire size one could get away with without rubbing? I was hoping to put 17's on but not if there's going to be rubbing.

BTW this is a street driven 95 accord ex 2d coupe. Thanks in advance.

p.s. just put on my a'pexi exhaust system (WSII) and it sounds great... should hold me over until i get the dough to completely rebuild the entire engine w/ boost and then it'll be time for 3 inch. THANKS to the H-T members that helped me decide.

Damn please search next time, this issue has been brought up TONS of times.

To answer your question you could do 215/45/17 and would have no rub. You wouldn't really want to go bigger much less can go any bigger.

wheel width, and offset will determine if you will rub with X tire size.

For example I'm on stock height with 18x7.5" +43mm wheels with 225/40-18 tires, and I rub whenever I have people in the car. If I had +45mm offset, I would never rub since the tires would clear the fender all the time...
