basically, I am looking into doing the front Prelude vtec brake swap on my hatch. however, as far as I have found I need to use the ex/si knuckle/hub assembly what differences are there between the ex/si assembly and the cx/vx/dx assembly? I've searched, but haven't found any info on this further than I need the ex/si assembly.
I've got a while before I actually tackle this task, but would like to know what problems and parts I will need before hand.

ex/si are 10.x brakes and cx/dx/vx are 9.x brakes, which means they have different caliper mounting points and thats why you need the ex/si knuckles because they have the caliper mounting points that you are looking for to mount the prelude vtec calipers
removing the lower ball joint on the knuckle is a bitch unless you have a ball joint puller but then that ruins the ball joint. i had to use the puller when i did mine because that **** wouldnt come out any other way. Also you might want to replace the wheel bearings while the ex/si knuckles are out because most likely old knuckles already have way to much play in them and also i assume you will be using used prelude vtec calipers so most likely they too will have to be rebuilt (new seals)
And a little heads up, 11" prelude rotors = heavy = more rotational mass = bad = slower car
Solution = 2 piece 11" SpecR rotors by fastbrakes

just the info I needed, thank you very much!
I'm not worried about the rotational mass.. it can't make me that much slower, and I'm working on brakes before I do my swap.
