i just bought some interior 2day and come to realize when i tried puttin the side panels on and it didnt fit do i have to cut something out or what . someone help me out

 

be more specific of what side panel you are putting on. and are you sure u got the right panels?

 

you will have to cut/take off your usdm rear seat latch hooks.. in ordr to put the jdm eg6 rear panels on.. along with welding in some other stuff.. hopefully you got every piece to make it a nice swap..

do a search under jdm eg6 rear in the archive.... its been dealt with before.

to me its a pain in the *** ... once you go jdm rear you cant go back to usdm unless you want to reweld peices back on....

 

im talk bout the rear panels, but yeah i just cut the rear latch? and along with some other stuff and what might that be?

The backet that use to bolt down the USDM seats have to be taken out, then well or screw the JDM bracket in, the seats will go on purfect if you do it right. To put the rear panel on you must get rid off the bracket that hold the USDM seats in place at the shoulder. Hope that clear enough for you.

 

Does anyone have a picture of the JDM center seat bracket? I assume this is the one that you are saying has to be removed and the JDM but in it's place? TIA

I have the center bracket myself, but I believe I am still missing a piece. I think there is a piece that goes all the way across the rear between the box and the seats. I am missing this piece, but have the bracket. Anyone have one that is complete?

Could you take some detailed pictures of the center pivot bracket for me? It would be great if you could. It would really help me fabricate my own.

Are you talking about the plastic part or the metal part that goes across the car between the reat seats and cargo box. If you need pictures of it, I might be able to help .

I could really use some close detailed pictures of the center pivot bracket so if anyone has some or could take some for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Would you happen to have a picture of the center pivot bracket? Also, would you happen to have a picture of where you drilled and tapped the holes for the outside seat brackets (the ones that are connected to the seats)? By chance, would have have any other pictures of the install?

yeah, i wish that interior came "stock" for us. oh well, my buddy just finished his interior conversion, i'll post some pics when i get the chance...

Sorry i dont i only have completed pics.

 

Drilling and tapping the holes wasn't hard. There are two divots in the sheet metal that will guide you. The only problem is that the metal is super thin and i dont think it will hold by itself. I also believe that you can't get at the bolts from the back to reinforce them once they are in b/c they are inside the frame rail. Either that or my gas tank

 

ok, thats what I was kinda figuring those dimples were for. I haven't drilled anything yet so I don't know how thin it is.

Has anyone done a write-up on how to install this interior?
