you most likely won't get a reason why your thread was locked because those things are supposed to be discussed to a moderator over an IM, not a thread.

as to your other question, what prices have you been observing? chances are if we name a price, say 23k and you are to buy your s2k at a dealership, your wanting it for 23k wouldn't matter much. just search for the best price and buy it..

There are many factors that determine the price. No one can comment on what a car is worth without knowing its mileage, condition, location and whether it was maintained correctly...etc. The fact that it was such a vague question could possibly explain why the thread was locked.

??? i said its mileage, gave its condition, my profile says the location and its still underwarranty and has been maintained correctly. definitely wasnt vague. at least i think? if u read the locked thread i listed all that u asked for?

this was the thread....
---------
"my dad wants to sell his S2000 so i figured i would see what kinda price it could go for on here.
'02 S2000 - Suzuka Blue - 13,xxx miles
- stock and always has been
- still has originial front so2's and has s03's on back (~2k miles)
- perfect shape, no paint work, no new panels - all orignal
- small rock marks on front bumper from highway use - no other scratches or dings anywhere
- soft top is perfect, no squeeks.

- is '02 so has glass rear window, upgraded stereo, interior changes, transmission changes and suspension changes - one of the best models!

car is showroom worthy with low miles

what kinda price should he ask or expect to get? i figured ask like 24,500 and let it go for like 23,500

let me hear what yall think, even if its pointless irrelevant flaming!!! "

post it in the for sale forums and ask for the best offer. also, you could look at other people's ads and base your price on theirs. seriously, not too hard

I have to agree. It did come off like a "for sale" post in which case you should have posted a thread in this forum that linked to the thread in the classifieds forum. Thats were all the details about the car belong.

You just have to look around. In addition to what theJUMPoff said, you should check out the cars blue book value at http://www.kbb.com, followed by checking autotrader and seeing what people are asking for a s2k with similar mileage in your area.

true- i just dont see too many with low miles in ads and in the autotrader. also we've gotten offers (when trading it in) ranging from 17,000-21,500 so it seems like there is a big range in price for the s2000. ill check that kbb
