Default Ground Control or This

Sorry for posting it in here but it said I couldnt post under the suspension etc thread.

I am thinking of purchasing the CG & KYB AGX Shocks but I am unsure what the spring rates are for the CG. Now I did find another company that offers simlar springs with the following spring rates:

448lbs Front, 336lbs rear, is this better than the CG's? I have searched the net and have only found some threads on here but they didn't help. This dude is offering these coilovers, front & rear camber kit for like 250.00.

Thanks!

well (a better spring rate) is not something that can be set across the bored, it more of a personal preferance, but when you go wit GC you get THE BEST SPRING ON THE MARKET end of story.

what is the other kit, and you can get any spring rate on a GC you want you just tell them but the AGX might not be able to handle them if you go crazy

the other kit is a knockoff to skunk2. I think I am going to go with either the cg's or maybe teins. I just thought having the coilovers, camber kit, etc was a good deal.
Dont know anything about the company but the pictures are below

So do GC's also ride nice? I used to have Tokico struts and some off brand springs and the ride was rough as hell. Ended up replacing my axels three times in a year. That sucked!

never said anything bad about what omni makes or has made. BUT EIBACH springs ARE THE BEST OUT THERE.

GC's with there normal spring rates ride great.

lets face it folks when you are buying coil over the only thing you are really paying for is the springs. GO GC's they don't limit you to one spring rate and the springs have a lifetime warrenty

Ground Control's default spring rates are 350f/250r, but you can choose your own custom rates if you want/need to. They use Eibach ERS springs, which come in increments of 25 lb-in.

I wouldn't use KYB AGX for spring rates over 350 lb-in or so; they don't have enough damping for the higher rates, so they would be a bit bouncy with anything more and could potentially blow within a short time. KYB also doesn't honor their warranty if you use the AGX with adjustable-height coilovers, or lower the car further than 1.5 inches.

Koni Sports are a bit expensive, but off-the-shelf they can handle spring rates up to around 600 lb-in. They have an excellent lifetime warranty. And, if you ever need/want to have them revalved, shortened, or add compression damping adjustability in the future, you can send them in and pay Koni to modify them.

Just because you didn't like them doesn't mean they "suck."

What didn't you like about them?

those rates are pretty good,
I have some offbrand coilovers with 450f/350r and they turned out really really well.

also that camber kit looks pretty good also,
from what i've read you want the kind that replaces the whole uppercontrol arm, like the ones shown.

aside from that, there is the durability issue.
which is almost impossible to gauge unless people have previously used the product.

I should also note that 250bux for a no-name brand coilover and camber kit seems a bit expensive to me.

Not necessarily; depends on what springs they're using.

Low price usually means crappy springs.

That kit looks like it is 448 all the way around. All four springs in the pic are the same rate.

Many people have had problems with the Skunk2 springs breaking.

Nothing beats Eibach springs....and you can't argue that either. They're the best, hands down.

Whether you use them on GC sleeves or Arospeed sleeves, as long as you have Eibach springs, you're good to go.

I run Arospeed sleeves from 4 years ago with 400 fr 500 rr Eibach springs....never had a problem with the sleeves, so why bother. I had a custom "GC" setup for 150 bucks after all said and done
