Anyone know where I can get a 3rd gear for a B16A2 tranny and how much it would be and how big of a b*tch it would be to install?

 

I don't know your skill level or anything like that....but judging by the fact that you came on here to ask how hard it was, I'm gonna have to lean towards you won't want to try it.

 

the gear itself probably won't be expersive, it's the labor that is gonna hurt you.

 

Whats wrong with your third gear?

 

maybe he's building a custom tranny. i believe the b16 3rd gear pulls really hard..

 

I just had an offer for a B16A2 tranny wityh 61,000 mi. on it, hes willing to sell it to me for $1000 installation included, anyone think this would be a good tranny to put on a B18C?

If you have to ask, then you aren't going to want to attempt this. Internal transmission work is the hardest thing to do on our cars.

You may have to buy a whole 3rd/4th gear set just to get the part that you need; that's what I had to do, since Honda only sells it as a set... That was $200+ for the parts, most of which I didn't need.
