Hood Locks at the track?
I went to class yesterday (autobody) and i took my car in to finish up some touches. And this one guy who knows somewhat about cars but BS's alot was telling me that if i went to the track they would make me take my hood locks out because if i crash or my engines catches fire they cant open it. I was wondering if this is true or not. Has anyone gone to the track with hood locks?
He's full of garbage.
I know guys racing porsches with hood pins holding down all of there hood and rear hatch...They are easier then popping open you hood IMO. They are right there ready to open. The only hood locks I may see be not safe would be the locking ones.
