Did you check for debris in the tracks?

My sunroof had difficulty opening and I had it "lubed" by the dealer when it was still under warranty. I think there is a special lubricant for this, not sure? I would call the dealer and they will help you. Then buy the stuff and do it yourself.

Use white lithium grease! It comes in a can with a spray straw and it is made for this kind of stuff. I did it on mine and it worked great...

ive also heard that powdered graphite works well for this too...saw it on another thread a while back. and it wont collect dirt and debris like some other lubricants. im not sure where you can get it but if you do a search for sunroof problems or something im sure you can find it.

Don't use white litium grease. It traps dirt and other crap. WD40 the tracks to clean them then apply an Air Tool/Compressor Lubrication Oil.

Powdered graphite or the compressor oil =

And like zuhaetler said, make sure to clean it out good with WD40....

should be able to find everything you need to do this at kragen's or autozone....
