went to get tuned and cant make over 20 psi
i went to get tuned yesterday and we tried everything even unhooking the boost controller from the wastegate and having it boost open and it still wont go over 20 psi. also it takes forever for the car to reach that 20 psi in 3rd or 4th gear.
also @ 20 psi i only made 318 to the wheels which is less then i made previously with the same tuner which was 326 @ 12 psi on stock internals.. we discovered that theres a problem with my timing and according to hondata and a timing light my timing was off so much that it made it look like my DIZZY was advanced 5 degrees when in reality it wasnt moved at all.... the tuner tried to correct as much timing electronically with hondata but it just wasnt enough.
any ideas ?

what about my boost problem i couldnt make over 20 psi even with a open wastegate .. could that be my wastegate taking a ****?

Dont forget your CR aint 10:1. But still your hp should not be that low for 20psi.

Your wg with the line disconnected will make whatever the turbo can push out what turbo are you running and what setup manifold wg

whats the spring rating on the wg. it self. is it 9psi or 7psi sticker on it. that is your limiting factor as well. If you planning on higher than 20psi get at tial that is 1.0bar 14psi spring and then boost on that unit if you need one let me know. The problem with cam timing .006 on the deck being cleaned will not effect it hardly at all. there something else going on wiht your setup .
yea my wastegate says 7 on it. i plan on getting a tial with a stiffer spring in it. so upgarding wastegates with a spring that is a lot stiffer shoudl make a improvement on being able to boost higher?
thanx for the help guys sorry i made 2 threads i wasnt thinking.

yes that should help the boost problem also you are pushing the limits of you turbo in the efficiency range. I would upgrade to larger more efficient turbo such as the sc61 bandwagon. It works
