Can an S2000 engine fit in my civic?
short answer: no.
reason being: front engine/front wheel drive car vs. front engine rear wheel drive car. I'm not saying it isn't doable, but it will cost you cubic dollars to accomplish.

Yes, I know that guy well. To answer your question, YES-with lots of modifications.
New front mount assy, tunnel, suspension mount points...and all the S2000 powertrain and running gear...
Pretty wild in my book, as it was the ONLY Civic I have ever seen do a burnout, smoking the REAR wheels....

It seems like a really bad idea to me. What about all the suspension parts? You'd basically be building an s2000 on a weak frame. What fun.

in that case, drop in a hemi in the civic.

a shop around the corner from me did that same swap - its not that much work for a good shop. they didint even hack the trans tunnel like the japanese tuner did.
anways, shoe horn would defitiely get the f20 in the civic. BOLT IN!! lol
actually, with a good mechanic who can weld and create pieces like motor mounts and custom bellhousings and such, anything is possible. how much money do you have?

it was a ae86, roko, no go. anyways...it was quite a bit of work...not as easy as the 13b/20b or sr20 into hachiroku.
one thing you might wanna check out, civic guy...sell your civic, and get a del sol. this would be a lost easier, and cheaper for you to do. take the del sol, and instead of having a FF, have a midship mounted B series, rwd. i mean, its custom work, but not nearly as much, and much easier than doing FR on a civic. Plus its been done before, by Top Secret....dont know if you're familar w/ them, but a japanese company. had a 550 hp turbo rwd midship B series in a del sol. i think i still have the cover from that mag in my room. i'll look for it, see if i can scan.

oic, I thought it was a Levin cause of the headlights...but then again a lot of people in Japan do that conversion to their AE86s.
Sorry about going off-topic and all. If you were to do the swap you'd have to cut through the firewall, chassis, etc. Too much chassis cutting for me personally. I'd really feel unsafe in a car like that. Reminds of of chop-shopped cars. All in all, this swap is do-able but not very practical.

there's no need to call him a moron...he's a newbie. give him some slack
and like the other guys are saying man...it IS do-able, but it's just gonna cost you a great deal of money to accomplish. IMO it isn't worth it...with the amount of money you're gonna be spending if you do this, you could have pretty much just bought an S2K to begin with

the motor and labor alone will likely be more that a used s2000 to make it run like it was supposed to be there.
It's possible the f20B FWD trans could bolt up and in this at least I know it could be made to fit since there is a kit for the f20B motor into the hatch
for the money you could have an unstopable b series put in though.
