DH Racing.com crank pulley?
Ok so I bought this pulley because it was the ONLY single channel crank pulley I could find for the D Series.

Thats all fine and dandy...6oz, 3 1/8th" dia. as comapred to the floppy there. i have a really good feeling this is NOT going to work at all with a stock alternator pulley. I mean it looks less than half the stock diameter. I dont want the battery draining everytime i sit in traffic, which is too often for my liking anyways.
So question is, who makes the smallest alternator pulley? Or, has anybody else tried this already with a stock pulley and not had any problems?

you should try getting a hold of them at dhracing and ask them about that they should know the answer and can probably supply you with the belt that you would need if needed..
How much did you pick that up for anyway looks nice?

I will try just that, i can get the belt locally though.
i paid $125 for it. Dont think i would have paid that much if i could of found any other options.
Wont know if it was worth it until i bolt it on, but at the romoval of 6 lbs of rotational mass it should at least make throttle response super snappy. Especially with the flywheel i just put on.

as I remember they advertised that it would 'improve accessory longevity'. which no doubt it will since it will be turning at half the speed. they also made it clear it was pretty much a race part, so im on my own for making it work.
wouldnt worry me so much, except ive never ever seen a crank pulley this small. then again the smallest motor i owned before this one was 2.2L

Or possibly might anyone know of some abnormally small Honda OEM accessory pullies? Im sure I could adapt any 4 rib pulley to work if necessary. For example: Can somebody with a 88-91 CRX/Civic Si check the center nut size, diameter and see how many ribs thier stock belt has? I can get a brand new EF pulley for $25, from the looks of diagrams that I have found it is smaller then the eg pulley.
Im trying to keep the D series low budget theme...so i'd like to avoid blowing wads of money when i might not have to.
