Hondata with F23 engine
I keep hearing that it’s possible to install a hondata system on a 6gen. I know the only problem is with the IAC. Hondata accepts a 2 wire IAC while the 6gens have a 3 wire IAC. Has anyone successfully done this and will the post a write up? Can anyone else tell me what OBD 1 ECM they used? I want to take my automatic turbo F23 to the next level.
sorry, off topic, but im considering to turbo my F23(98 accord coupe I4), what do you run like in the 1/4 mile? and how much WHP do you KNOW u have(dyno) or think you have?
Im pretty sure the S100 or S200 wont work with your automatic tranny. Dont know about the higher systems. ECU applications are found here http://hondata.com/engines.html , check out the list for the F22. My shop recommended the P28 and said the stock knock sensor isnt worth beans so it doesnt matter that it doesnt have that feature. You need a jumper harness. The cheapest one I have found is from here http://www.boomslang.us/products.htm but now that i look i see they have increased their prices, try e bay. RKV how much power you will get depends on many things, like which turbo you use. From my research, most turbo F23s get 200-300whp with stock internals and trannys. I'll find out in a month, cant wait.
The auto tranny requires the older Stage 2/3 hondata systems. I dynoed my car at 200whp at 4.5-5psi. We were having problems with my SAFC and now I'm running at 8psi and feels a lot stronger. I'm estimating 240whp.
