Default Crank/Bearing/ and or Pulley noise?

I just dropped my new longblock h22 in and bolted it up to the tranny. runs super good. pulls hard, smooth idle etc, timing is right on the money.

have a strange noise at idle though. it sounds like either an a) too tight of belt, b) bearing, c) a bolt loose?

thats just the options to describ the sound.. almost like a squacking seagull but deeper.

I wish i could record the sound.

if anyone has performed a h22 timing belt change lemme know if they have heard what i'm descirbing.

and it only does it at idle... <780rpms soon as it hits 780 rpms it goes away completely.

sounds like a rusty bearing or bad bearing or something a long those lines. it completely stops though soon as you give it any gas or get the rpms over 780 (i got a vafc so i watch)

any opinions? (yes i tried kicking it)

could be a bunch of things....we need a lot more description or sound....
there is a big difference in the noises you describe.

if it would be a too tight of a bearing, then it would be hard to turn the engine by hand.
If its too loose it would not go away as rpm rise.

Have you checked the dizzy? When the bearing on the dizzy's gets old, they kinda make like a rattling noise
