Default Skunk2 IM on a LS

Will i need a different throttle cable or anything like that if i get a skunk2 IM for my ls?? TIA

You can use the same throttle cable .. but you will need to bend the mounting bracket

edit:

also i forgot you will need to open the holes up a little bigger in the mounting bracket to line the bolts up


No big deal its really easy to do both of those steps ..

i got mine used for $150, it's been sitting in my garage for the past few months cause it's hard to put in myself. And i don't have all the instructions to put it in yet....

i found one for 288 shipped brand new but i dont know if it comes with the gasket

what kinda gain do you think you would get would this?Would you get benefits from this for having aftermarket cams?

ya i was gonna run 404's so prolly another 10 hp or so.Sounds good too me.

Then use this opportunity to upgrade to a Hondata gasket or another insulating gasket.

That's a manufacturer's claim, so don't expect half of the power they say is possible. These claims are usually made when comparing stock components to their own components on engines built specifically for their own product testing, and tuned to make sure their products make the most power possible over stock.

Don't try and run 404's without raising the compression by a significant margin. Hell, I wouldn't even run 402's without at least PR3 pistons.

i know quite a few peeps including styleteg who run 404's and stock bottom end.I was gonna do the same.

Yea your dynamic compression ratio will go to crap with the 404's

I ran my 404's that way for a short period of time until I took them out until I get some valve springs. The power increase was nice but with a higher c/r it would be alot better.
