Default Questions about strut bars. Yes I did search before posting this.

Hey I did a search about strut bars and all I got is different answers. I need to know this cuz im going to purchase front and rear strut bars from a fellow H-T member for $30 shipped they are no name strut bars. heres the questions

Do they make any difference at all?
Would no name brands be just as good as name brands?
Are they worth it?
Can they have a negative affect to the car?
Has anybody had anything bad happend to them cuz of strut bars.
i'll be adding more questions when i think of them.

Thanks in advanace

Nuespeed front tower bar is nice. The front bar doesn't have a negative affect. The rear tower bat is worthless becuase your speaker shelve is al ready doing what the tower bar would do. You get what you pay for.

do they make a difference? not really. i'm sure they do make some miniscule difference but, is it worth it? probably not.

would no name brands? well, depends on the no name brand i suppose, but once again see above.

are they worth it? depends, can you get one for $15? b/c that's about as much as they're worth.

can they have a negative effect? no, since they don't have much of an effect, period.

anything bad happen? never heard of anything.

ask the RR/AX guys? most of them will tell you that they're a complete waste of money along with tie bars, etc.

Save your money. get what you pay for. 1 piece is better than 2. It is not the most important or noticeable element in a suspension setup IMHO.

Spend the money on books instead. Going faster and Speed Secrets will get you started off right, and will help more than bling barz.

My very first post here was about rear bars, and RAB set me straight way back when. I got the bar anyhow, and it seems to make a difference. Then again, my upper and lower control arm boots are split, so maybe they make the difference. Ha.
Anyhow, that rear bar is real handy for zip tying speaker wires to! That's about the only real benefit. (damn RAB for being right)
