Default hondata launch control question

ok, so my hondata isnt in yet due to the shitty base map but i was thinking about it, with the launch control how do i do a burn out before launching at the strip(yes i drag race my itr....no auto x's close enough any more and strip is 15 min away) i like to launch at around 4000-4500 and slip the clutch. Im not that great(knowledgable) on wireing, but it would seem if i could put a switch in between the clutch switch and the hondata so i could simulate like the clutch isnt pressed it, it would allow me to rev higher and do a burn out, then flip the switch back to normal function of the clutch switch for the launch. Does this seem like it will work or am i off base?

Thanks all any alternatives would be appreciated

well, are you launching on slicks? what mods are done to the motor? That's low launch for slicks... I'm sure you could do such a thing- the clutch switch is just a push button that completes the circuit, so you could interrupt the signal to the box- ie show an off circuit-
