Got boost??? I don't. (gauge cluster pic)
Got my bezel pod last week and only gauges I had to fill the holes for now were an off brand A/F and Autometer Boost gauge. Figured they were better than empty holes. I have a Autometer Phantom A/F gauge on the way and trying to decide on which gauge to replace the boost yet. But was bored so I snapped a quick pic tonight.

looks awesome and is a great match.. better pics plz </TD></TR></TABLE>
No boost on the EM1 ever. As you can see, 23k miles on a clean title, almost perfectly straight, numbers matching EM1 and going to try and keep it that way. Plus I drive it about 80 miles a day commuting and would be a waste to boost it for the commute.
And once I get the new A/F gauge in I will get better pics.

Because that would be ghetto and I would call that rice if I saw it in someone else's car. I'm probably going to get a oil pressure gauge unless I come across an intake temp gauge cheap.

but then putting a boost gauge in a non-turbo car isn't "rice" too?

Didn't spend anything on them. Gauges came out of a turbo car that is no longer with us. Like I said, they were just to fill the holes. Boost gauge will be coming out soon.

if you want to fill the holes, get oil pressure or something. </TD></TR></TABLE>
And if I would have had an oil pressure gauge handy I would have. You guys act like I went out and bought this boost gauge. It was sitting on the shelf collecting dust so now it is installed to fill a hole untill I get another gauge to replace it.

sell me the boost gauge then
and don't waste your money on an A/F gauge. get a water temp and oil pressure...you need both since the car didn't come with oil pressure gauges, and the factory water temp doesn't really work...

And good for those people. I don't know enough about turbo's right now to want to tackle it. All I know is that almost every turbo setup I've seen needs constant tuning and most of them grenade after time. And if I can drive around all day without getting into boost then why boost it? Its just not the thing I want to do to the car. To me it is worth a lot more to a buyer, and to insurance, without boost.
I know a lot of people will disagree but with it having no turbo I don't have to worry about it getting me to work every day, running the kids around, and just taking care of things.
