ok, im an idiot and i broke an automatic tranny in this '91 EF by improperly installing it. ive done about a hundred manual trannys before but this was my first auto. anways, can i put this '96 auto EK tranny in the car instead. i know it will bolt up to the motor because they are both D series but im not sure what upper tranny mount would/wouldnt work and which flex plate and torque converter to use or if the kick down cable and shifter cable will be the same. if anyone has done this before or has any idea about it please let me know, i gotta get this car out of my driveway. thanks

you might be a pioneer at this. all i can say is look at both tranny and see where the mounts are and if they are in the same place then its all good for mounting it in your car.
