intake ideas
A friend of mine is building me an intake for my 5th gen. I was wondering which is a better choice for airflow... to a) Build the pipe from the intake manifold, up to the stock air filter box and just put my cone filter there or to b) have the pipe bend down behind the front right turn signal (removing the resonator box of course) and also shaving the stock hair hole wider so my pipe can pass through it. Also would it be a good idea to take out the vent under the turn signal so air from the outside flows directly to my cone filter? Will I have water problems? Also what is the best way to cut the metal around the stock air hole for my piping and to keep it from rusting? And it's a K&N filter by the way.
cut that hole with a dremel, i wouldnt cut the plastic shielding underneath, u may have water spray up in there, and yea i'd bring it down like u said to make a cold air.
