Does a 98 ITR USDM need a harness for the 2000 JDM ITR Ecu ?
Well I need a JDM ITR ECU since I'm running a JDM Cat.
My car is a 98 ITR and I was wondering if it needs a hanress for the 00 JDM ITR ECu?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure a JDM R ECU won't work w/ a USDM engine. Reason being is that JDM R engines have no crank flux sensor, and the VTEC pressure switch is built into the ECU, and is not on the solenoid itself like on USDM engines.
I believe it will plug right in. The riceboi just plugged his in... granted it came like that.
Just go obd1 kid.

It'll work.
The engine will have a few more sensors that the ECU won't need. It's like as if they weren't even there.

ignoring obd2a and obd2b issues, this is correct.. not sure if the a and b even comes into play though..
