Default LS with Turbo would Overheat with AC on

I was wondering if you guys are overheating heating with the AC on. When the AC is off my car runs fine. I have a rev hard turbo setup and I think the heat from the turbo is causing it to overheat. Is this true? The temp guage would go to the ~75% mark. When it does I blast the heater on high and it goes back down in less than 30 sec. What can I do to prevent this from happening. THanks.

get a better thermostat and fan switch...and get a good mixture of coolant and water... and when it all fails .. get an aftermarket radiator... but trust me .. the stock radiator handles it pretty well for a lightly modded motor... usually it jus tneeds to flow properly

My old radiator blew on me. I was using the Prestone Super clean to clean it. It only had water in it. Now i'm using the 50 / 50 mix with a raditator that I got from autozone. I don't know why it starts to over heat only when i use the AC. I am using a cheap slim fan. It's not attach directly on the radiator but rather like an inch away from it. Think I need a more power fan?

the slim fans arent very good at pulling air because it doesn thav ethe shroud around it like the stock...i say try to get the fan as close as possible.. but i would suggest when cool....keep the radiator cap open and let the bubbles come out....aka airpockets... and depending where you live... 50/50 isnt the best mixture... you might want to use just a tad more water then coolant...

Here is your problem. All the air is blowing around your radiator. mount that thing directly on the radiator. Use some foam tape around the shroud of the slim fan to keep from damaging your fins.

And use Honda coolant too. It doesn't break down as easily when running at higher temps.

i'll try to get those mounting adapters from summit. That might be the problem. I bent some of the fins while installing the fans to the radiator. Should I bend them back out. Will it cause any big problems.
