Default need some help with my GC/Konis

hey, i bought a set of Ground Controls and Koni Yellows. The yellows are GC specific, so its a full coil sleeve. I need to change out the rear shocks, but I am having trouble getting them out from the GC sleeve. It looks like the perch from the shock is blocking the coilover from coming off...what should I do? TIA

there's a pic of the shocks, the shock on the right is the farthest i can get the sleeve off the shock before it gets stuck

hmm I've never seen GC sleeves that long before. The sleeves are supposed to sit on the snap ring in the groove on the shock body, about 1/3 up from the bottom.

those are ground controls specifically made for the koni yellows, thats why they are that long, i would take the sleeve off and clean it really good, and if it still deosnt want to go down maybe sand the whole thing down a little

The GC's for Konis I've seen aren't that long. They aren't on my friend's EK hatch. They're supposed to have an adapter that sits on the snap ring, and the sleeve covers the top 2/3 of the shock body, leaving the bottom 1/3 exposed. I've never seen a GC sleeve that covered the whole shock body.
