Default Problem: Failed State Inspection and it wasn't emissions

I just got back from Acura. They failed me due to my JDM front end. They said there is no support and its not safe for a front end collision. The guy said I would literally be dead. They won't let me pass til I get it fixed and I have 14 days to do so without paying for inspection again. I don't think I have the bumper reinforcement but will installing that be enough to pass inspection? I live in PA if that helps any. Everything else on my car was fine, just the front end safety. ANy help is appreciated!

According to what the Inspector said, it seems that you would "pass" if you put in the bumper reinforcement.

And that stuff about you being killed w/o it is pure BS!

no, just go to a gas station for inspection or any other low-end shops.

Acura wanna deny me too for "unsafe turn signal lense"
puahahaha, ghey...

I don' think the bumper reinforcment FITS with the JDM front end...which is why it's removed...I could very well be wrong though...

I agree about why it was removed.
Sucks to be caught with a non-US spec car though.

Go somewhere else and pay for a new inspection and see if they catch it (or pay the new place off).

that's the jdm bumper reinforcement. install it so you can pass. if it is already installed, the dealership was just busting ***** because the usdm version is like 20 times as big as the jdm version.

lesson learned. next time don't go to the dealership for inspection

go to a private station

pa has some of the most lenient dmv laws so consider yourself lucky.

State inspections are such a crock, last time I went I had a shop tell me they couldn't inspect my car because of the rollbar Morons.

That sucks. Definately go to a "side of the road shop". Thats where I go. Before my car even stops, the guy is reaching in my window to put a new sticker on

Japan have no 5 mph bumper regulation requirment like US,
so I don't think you can get away with just this.

Good Luck, u need it!

You don't have the jdm bumper support?

usdm bumper support fits on the jdm front end, mods required is making small cuts into the front bumper to allow for proper fitment.

thats all.
