multi angle valve job
is a 3angle valve job the same as porting...?? or is it reservising the seat??
and if it is do u need over sized valves??
and does anyone knoe the difference between a 3angle and a 5angle job??

a three angle valve job places three angles of cutting on the face and seat of thee valve. most common applications of a three or five angle valve job are either when there is no margin left on the valve, leak down of the cylinder head or preparation of use of nitrous oxide. porting and polishing any portion of the cylinder head allows greater air flow capabilities through the removal of any rough casting material in the combustion chamber, intake ports, and exhuast ports. generally when you recondition/refurbish a cylinder head due to either miles, low compression readings or for added assurance in a rebuild 1] remove and disassemble the head 2] glass bead the head in an abrasive cabinet 3] lap the valves with compound and either reassemble the head with original components or valves, springs retainers and locks from the aftermarket. the lapping of the valves will reestablish the seal between the face of the valve and the seat. glass beading will solve any detonation problems associated with rough surfaces and the added smoothing of the material allows excellent airflow due to the fact that air moves more quickly over a smooth surface. porting involves taking a new intake manifold lining it up on the head marking the excess material with a magic marker and using a bit to remove the material. the result more flow and throttle response that can't be measured except on a dyno.
