Default stock rod vs. eagle h beam rod

im about to put my motor back together. i bought cp pistons and know have an issue with rods. i have to get the stock pistons pressed off the stock rods and the cp pistons pressed onto the stock rods. my question is how much better would i be off with getting eagle h beam rods? my mechanic told me that if i wasnt getting the chromoly ones then i shouldnt even bother since the strength comparison between the stock rods and the eagle h beam rods were not that much. can anone clear tis up for me??
thanks

First off, the difference in strength is not small. Second, there's an issue with the stock rods (specifically the wrist pins) and aftermarket pistons. Someone else will chime in, something about floating wrist pins.

1. Your "Mechanic" is a moron
2. yes, there is an issue sometimes with floating wrist pins on stock rods...
3. Just get the H beams and you shouldnt have a problem and you will have peace of mind that you have forged and STRONGER rods and slugs
4. Tell your mechanic he is a bonehead and have someone else do the work on your carRR

your mechanic is an idiot....Eagle H beams are much stronger than a stock rod, for one because they are forged and not cast...Secondly they are beefier and will hold up a lot better against stress and higher revs...plus they are proven and will easily hold 400, 500+ hp....ive see a few dsms with the rods making big numbers, they are good rods

If your mechanic gave you information like that be prepared to have engne problems down the road cause he cant be intelligent when it comes to building a motor....

ur mech is a dumbass

he doesnt really know **** about parts

H beam eagle rods are like 4 times stronger than stock rods
i have blown many rods with just about 150hp and compared side to side the H beams are a lot more stronger material, and better design...

u cant use the eagle on stock pistons
i wanted but u cant since ethe stock pistons are floaters and need to me pressed on the rod... the eagle are floaters and means u cant lock them in since the pistons is also a floater...

i am running a JE pistons Eagle rod combo now and i love it...
