i have a k20a3 in my si with less than 10k on it. i plan on selling it very soon. almost saved up for a ITR motor. so i was wondering what the people are willing to pay for the a3 i mean it does have just as much hp as a b16 with a little more Tq

 

its not a matter of hp it has that will/will not sell it. its just how much can be done. with a 6800 rpm redline, and no upgrades available, the base engine isnt too sought after unless its for the block for sleeving or the transmission for building. i was able to get 1500 or so for mine w/ 30k on it

 

So since the b16 and A3 have almost same power, can I get it for the price of a jdmb16?

I was trying to sell my A3 for $1000cdn, and people jumped all over it. I never sold it however, my k20a deal fell through.

Have over 90k km on it (~55k miles).

Another guy was trying to sell his with 15k km on it for $1500, and nobody wanted it.

 

Sold a complete K20A3 swap (engine/trans/ecu/harness/axles/etc) for $2000 on eBay to a guy who's putting it into a custom built roadster. That's about the going rate for a complete swap. You might get lucky if you can find a buyer who doesnt know that K20A2 swaps can be had for about $3000 or so.

 

there is alot more stuff comin out for the k series motors a3 has alot more power to gain. Skunk 2 is doing big things

There are turbo kits out there, you can always swap a type S head on. Lest you forget the Kseries motors have not been out awhile, new parts are coming to the market everyday for the A3,A2,K24.

 

k20a3 on boost is addicting.
