Hmm... new car time.
I wrecked my last car, and now im lookin for another 4th gen lude. If I could get a decent deal on it, is a 94 S worth it?? Ive had a 95 Si and a 96 Vtec and they kicked *** like no other... and Im afraid teh S will fall short. If i could get a good deal, could i just swap in an H22 later on? ITs bolt on right? And whats the difference between the models? I kno an S has a diff engine, but what else?

As a past h22 test driver, a current f22 owner, i must agree.

ABSOLUTELY. Being an Si owner, I couldn't agree more. While i thought I got a good deal on my low-mileaged Si, in hindsight, I didn't really. Find an S in good exterior condition with a high mileage F22 engine, use the money you saved from buying an Si or VTEC (if you could even find one) and put a JDM H22 in. Anything else as far as power locks or accessories can be swapped, and you've got yourself a 200 hp car which might just end up having cost you the same thing as a 160hp Si.
I believe the S had manual locks ... sunroof? I can't remember. I'm not sure if the calipers on the S were smaller than the Si, although the VTEC's were certainly bigger than both the S and Si (and could be easily had for cheap, and swapped onto your S) The S didn't come with ABS, had steelies w/covers instead of alloys (but I'm pretty sure they were still 15s). No cruise I'd imagine, and I'm assuming it had A/C like the Si and VTEC.

After swapping an H22 into my car and parting out my H23 swap....I wil still have paid less than what a VTEC Prelude would have costed, and I was able to change all the seals, timing belt, water pump, etc.
Go with the S or Si.
