2000+ GSR ECU Swap - stock to stock, IMMOBILIZER problems...
My stock ecu isnt sending out an injector pulse so I need to get another one.
The way I see it is that when I do get the new ECU, it would have a new immobilizer key code, thus not letting the car start.
Anyone know of a cheap and good way around this?

No, an OBD-1 ECU won't run an OBD-2 car without a few necessary components. The ECU is encoded with an immobilizer, it's possible to have it removed though I'm not sure of the procedure. I personally thinks its just a better idea to convert to OBD-1, get a Skunk2 manifold and run a chipped P28.

I think you can call up acura and explain the situation to them. The dealers have a database of all this info such as the codes and all that ****. If you have an o1 shell it should have the immobilizer receiver in place, so all you need to do is get a key (40 bucks) and have it programmed to your ECU's code. Once again, I would immagine that the dealer can do this if you bring the ECU to them or something along those lines.

As Kendall said, the ODB I ECU wont work if you just plug it into an ODB II car. You have to get an expensive harness and all sort of ****. Depending upon what you want to do, will determine if you need this. For hondata, you need to run ODB I. I run my AEM EMS just by swapping, no work required. If you plan on just running VAFC and piggy backs like that, then just keep the ODB II.
Im not quite sure what the Skunk2 manifold has to do with changing your ECU, but the manifold is pretty good for the average driver. The JG/Edlebrock mani is mainly for high revving engines or massive amounts of boost.

i do have a harness, but it think it may be the wrong one...is there a difference between the year of the harness? like between a 96-99 and a 00-01 harness?? if there is, i might have the 96-99 for my 01 shell.....fill me in somebody?
i got that, but i think i got the wrong one, b.c i tried to install it and my car didnt start...i got aobd2-obd1 harness, wired it to a p72 up to my 01 gsr, and it didnt start..maybe i have a 96-99 harness when i need a 00-01 harness.... ??
