If it wasn't for the jump Auberlan got after the subie got cleared, I think Kleinubing would have been able to stay ahead for at least a bit longer.

Another thing I noticed was Auberlan being what, almost 5 cars ahead for most of the second half of the race to just about finish.


And even more fun to watch was the GT race afterwards with the Caddies rollin Everything and givin the Audi, Viper's and Vette's dominating competition.

Pilgrim from last to 2nd! That is just insane.

And then they mentioned 75 lbs added to the race winner and 60 lbs to the 2nd place.

Me = wondering how the TSX and Caddies will fare for the whole season.

 

If it wasn't for PK's abilities to defend his position, the BMWs would've moved past as well.. the TSX was not as fast as some of the other cars out there, or at least it appeared, he was just defending his position well..

PD did pretty good considering he ran without a 3rd gear most of the race..

Did Realtime even run the NSX in the GT race? I didn't see any mention of it..

 

pk made a nice "outside-in" move near the end of the race to keep 2nd place. that was awesome! looked like cunningham broke 3rd gear. from then on, he was puting to finish.

He is an awesome driver for certain, but maybe it was just me who thought the TSX looked a bit more up on power, obviously as opposed to the RSX.

That is a fast track. Those 2 straights are darned long.

It got retired last season.

oh yeah, it's definitely faster than the RSX.. more torque, as PK said.. still though, the BMWs will be serious competitors.. i believe it was 5 of them in the top ten..

Actually I don't think they mentioned it but I remembered seeing that in the February 04 issue of Grassroot's Motorsports:

its sad about the NSX beng retired

hopefully the next gen NSX will come out and play

those Caddies were awsome!

 

The RealTime NSX has been retired for a couple of years now due to lack of funding from Honda, which decided to not back the team with that machine in the '03 season.

Kleinubing might of been able to hold off Auberlen if Auberlen didn't get a huge jump on him on the re-start after the caution. BTW, does anyone know how Michael Flynn wrecked? I know him personally but was watching from a different area of the track and never found out how he wrecked the Subaru.

Look for great things to come from the TSX this year as they develop this 2.4L bad machine.

sitting out the first round, I assume.. I never heard if they even made the trip down.. I'm sure clayton, mugen mike, or one of the other people close to king would know more..
