Hey, I found S model Del Sol. And it doesnt come with power steering. I have never driven a car without one and I am not sure if I will like it or not. If I don't like it how much would it cost to install one? I plan on swaping out the stock crapper to a C18c1 or H22 (havent decided just yet....) is that matters.

I did a shearch and didnt turn up anything on this subject.

i have driven civics with both ps and w/o and let me tell you driving one without p/s is not much different. in fact i like it w/o ps, you can feel the road a lot better w/o it plus it has power assisted steering which is basically power steering at higher speeds

 

Used parts probably under $400. New OEM parts probably over a $1000.

It's not worth installing. Manual steering is only difficult when trying to turn the wheels at a dead stop.

How hard? Im 6'4" but im not strong at all.

 

power assisted steering means that it feels like power steering when going 5mph and up the only time power steering really helps is when parallel parking and even then w/o ps isnt difficult, gives you "guns" too

 

i dont have p/s in my 95 civ and I actually prefer it...feels like im driving the car versus being driven! Just like Maunal versus automatic boss...real drivers like manual!

 

i've had both in all 3 honda's that ive owed and im sticking without power steering. i think the steering response is better and plus u gain a few ponies from not having it and the weight reduction
