i found that my oil seal on my right side cv joint was leaking tranny fluid. so i set to work to get the axle out and replace the seal. i have replaced a few axles on my car a few times and never had this problem, but my axle will not come out. i have tried everything from prying it out to straight pulling on it with a rope with two people but the spring clip on the splines seems to be imovable. anyone have any ideas

hit it with a hammer

 

take out the other axle and use a screwdriver to go throught the diff and fiddle with the c clip

 

okay tried taking out the other axle to my dismay i dont have enough clearance to really get into it and get out the c-clip, im now $150 deep in tools, prybars that have snapped, I am losing hope what can i do.

manual agitation with a large hammer
pull it out till it catches on the clip then hit it.
