my car is fucked...? or is it? i have no idea... help me please@!!!!!!
earlier this week im sittin in a parking lot, listenin to my subs, then car just shuts off, wont turn over or anything (by the way its a 92 integra)... anyway... i go into school, come out praying it starts, starts like a pro
entire ignition system was replaced a few months ago so my spark is (or rather should be) perfect
alright, tonite im drivin down the road tonite comin home from a party, stop at a stop sign, hit the gas, get to about 20 mph and my car shuts off again, except its not like if ur drivin and u turn the key on slot where you lose power steering.. i still had power steering (thats the odd part), i also still had all my lights and wipers and radio, etc.
turn the car on, it turns on, boggs a little then shuts back off... now it wont even turn over.. check engine light comes on some of the times i try to start of, sometimes i have a battery lgiht come on, goes away sometimes, stays on sometiems
tried jumpin the car, didnt work.. tho it did make it turn quicker.. im thinkin maybe i just need to replace te battery and alternator, or better yet throw the car off a ****** cliff

I had the same problem with my integra couple of years ago. It had the same symptom. Quick question. when your start your car does your starter work (crank over)? You said that you had your was ignition done, was it a tune up? What was done? My problem to my car was a cracked ignition coil. The car would start and drive but when my coil warms up the epoxy (hard plastic thats laminates the coil) crack began to expand (blah blah). If you have a multimeter you might want to check your secondary ignition system.
STOP TRYING TO START THE CAR!!!!! Check your distributor, if not your distributor, I would out money on the assy. between the distributor and the cam being f'd all to hell.
I sorta had the same problem with my 90 Integra, I was going down the street and all of a sudden my subs started crackling and my car kinda bogged a bit. So, I turned off the system and drove to school without any music ot listen to my car. I felt a little hesitation, so I didn't think too much of it, thinking maybe some wires in the back came unplugged like they sometimes did. I then notice my check battery light go on and I step on the gas a little bit and it goes away. After school, everything sounded fine, system worked, subs didn't crackle and I drove to goto the gym. I got done and turned on my car and noticed that it took alot to start the car, so I immeditely turned off my music and drove with some friends to go get something to drink. It gets dark and I turn on the lights to my car, I notice that it's really hard to get upto 40mph... So, I sit and think to myself "Damn, I gotta get home." It's dark and I get home, I take the 10 freeway and I floor it to get up the ramp and I'm only going 20mph.. I turned off my lights and hit 40mph, once I got up to the freeway completely I got to 60mph and hit traffic when I finally got to it. I got off and went on the street, flooring it to get through a normal four way stop, the whole way home without lights and If I tried to use my blinker it'd almost stop my car even the hazards were taking too much juice, I ended up blowing 3 stop signs to get up a hill and park half way in my drive way and then my car died. To end this story, it was the alternator. Plain and simple, I got a higher amp alternator to handle my subs and the car runs great now.. Lemme tell you though, that alternator is a bitch to get out..

Sounds like you fried the dizzy. I had the same problem the day after I did my head swap. I had been driving for 250 miles already (not all at once) before the problem happened. I was just driving and all of a sudden my rpms slowly drop.
I go get a new coil, and still nothing. i go get a new ignitor module. nothing. I get a new cap and rotor. nothing. i have it towed to my shop and replace the dizzy from another teg. and starts right up.
I would do the following in this order. (stop when you find the problem):
1) check for spark. (place a spark plug wire on the valve cover and have someone crank the car. if you see sparks, you are getting spark. If not you are having an ignition problem most likely)
2) If the spark plug wires are old, change them (~$50)
3) Change the dizzy cap and rotor (~25)
4) change the dizzy coil (~75)
5) change the ignitor module (~90)
6) change the dizzy (~175)
7) buy new car (...)
remember, you can return the parts you dont need to replace. (like if you buy a coil and the car still wont start.)

yea sounds like something to do with the distributor, my brother had a similar problem in his 94 teg and ended up needing the dist coil replaced.

heard back from the guy... apparently i had a fucked up ignitor, which when i said "just replace the entire ignition system" i thought that coverd it, but i guess not.. ppl is dumb
