Default Triple whammy...non-mechanical, a newbie and have a question

Just purchased a 95 Accord (reconstructed). It has it's quirks but only one thing that seems major. It's auto and when travelling at a maintained speed in the 70MPH area and 2500-3500 RMP range it loses power (drops 500RPM) and quickly regains power in a split second. Also, kinda sluggish off the line. Any quick fix ideas before I drag it to the shop???

It is an EX and it does seem like there is a dead spot in the gas flow. I understand it is sluggish off the line, how about from a dead stop up hill?

its not normal...hes saying thee is a spot where it seems to stop making power and it just drops in performance like its not getting any fuel and air...maybe there is something wrong with your fuel line, or even map sensor...injectors...it could be lots of things really...
