Default problem with lowering springs? uhm maybe raising springs?

so went to the college today to go put the lowering springs on and turns out i got the oppisite effect. we put the rear springs on and it looks like i raised the back you can see the diffrence between my old springs and the new ones. i read on the ibspec.com site that its suppost to lower 1.5 inches so is this where i should be any help would be good..

*i figure with it only lowering 1.5 inches it would put it back to stock then set.. but doesnt it look higher then a stock integra?*

maybe you switched the springs...the ones in the back go on the front and the ones on the front go on the back

yep I guarantee that's what happened. Front springs are stiffer and will raise the back if installed backwards.

i agree i think that you switched the springs from front to back. the tallest spring goes to the front and the small one goes to the rear.

well, it could have been worse. The springs could have been messed up. How difficult is it to install them anyway?

Yup you have the fronts on the back, I can tell just by looking at the thickness of the spring.

its not that its hard its the fact that it is time consuming(i know i murdered that word)i am doing it in an auto shop class with my buddy,we have all the tools(power ones at that )i just hate screwing up my car in the mist of all of it ya know?

but one more thing those are the old springs in the front. so only the new springs are in the back... and apparently the wrong ones too... ouch

Ah Man... Imma let you know, thats a pain in the ***... I had to swtich mine out because I bought some shocks, and it was a still a pain... you have to stick a allen wrench in the middle and use an open ended wrench to twist it over and over and over and over and.... it really sucks!

I think you just got messed up springs. They look really big. Did you have to compress the aftermarket springs? What brand are they?? Still, if they are switched around, it should lower than stock.

those are back springs. its not about the length but you can also tell by the thickness of the spring. the thicker springs go in the front. and the thinner springs go on the back....those springs u have pictured are definately the back ones....try it out and see what happends. let us know whats up....
