OEM 6 disk changer
it was nice outside today (actually got up above 50), and i was bored as hell......so i decided to relocate the in-trunk cd changer into the cabin.......right now, its somewhat snuggly secured under the drivers seat, but thats not gonna fly for too long.......anybody got any ideas on where to relocate it/DIY mounting harness for it....(FYI, its just a bit too wide to fit into the center counsole
)....
)....
Hey, to give you an idea, here's my 6 disc in the glove box.

Install was pretty easy, just time consuming and locating/hunting the right materials.
Enjoy

The wire you are talking about should be accessible by removing the center console to find were it is routed. I'm assuming this is an Alpine M-Bus changer? You can easily purchase a smaller M-Bus cord if you want to relocate it to the glove box. A 6 footer should do nicely.
Now as for how I filled in the space. I didn't, the changer is mounted with 2 bolts to the upper part of the glove box. In order for me to make it fit, I had to dremel out the back of the glove box and then 'glass it back over to accomadate the bump out I made in order for the changer to fit properly (don't want anything messing itup in the back - no easy access). Then I made a template out of paper for a rough opening to cut the ABS plastic sheet I had. I then used black caulk to fit it in place securely. Added the trim ring around the changer to hide some screw ups and presto! Custom mounted changer in the glove box.
I had to find a plastics company in my area to get the rough material and then I went to AC Moore (arts and craft store) and spent some time looking for the right trim pieces I needed to finish it off.
HTH - any more ?'s, let me know - I'm here to help in any I can.
