OK, well right now I have a 1995 Honda Accord Ex v6 auto. I am sick of pouring $ into it, it is slow as we all know. I want a fast car that I can start saving some $. I hear about the rsx type r coming out next year? Can anyone explain further about it? Thanks......also, my 95 accord is already on the top of the list for stolen cars, and the integra type r is right there as well, I dont want to have to worry about this. Should I trade my mine in, and pay off the diff? or wait for the rsx type r?>
A friend of mine is selling his Type R. He lives in NJ. His name on this board is El Pollo Diablo. The car is mint. Email him.
You always have the option of waiting, with the # of sports cars coming out this and next year you'll have plenty of options. No need to stick to the DC2 ITR just for the sake of owning an ITR
Accords in no way compare to the harrasment a R receives. Get the car if you can handle excess attention (negative AND positive).
I would wait a while and wait and see if the RSX-R comes out, or may i suggest a WRX. Personally I wouldn't get a used R, alot of people beat up on their R's

He just bought the car, broke it in for me, and sell it to me for waay less than Sticker Price.
Edit: Forgot to say that you should get DC2R if you want it.. and also DC5R when it comes out if you truly are a Honda Freak like me.

I would get one, if I had the money and there was for sale in my area I would get one, but I dont have the money and there isnt one for sale.

ya thanks guys, I really wanna stay in the honda community, no mustangs etc. Ya, but i believe the rsx-r will be crazy. But the new accord comes out next october, so I will have to see. In the meantime,no more mods for my honda, just saving for a down payment. I am confused, but I want a new car before I transfer from my junior college. Guess I will wait and see.

Damn, I just read about another R being stolen, wtf! I know it is in high demand for parts, but whoever is doing this wil pay for it in the afterlie. Also, I know some of you guys are buying stolen parts, which is really low!
If I had an R, I would have a nice alarm, tracking device,(lojack) and a gun waiting for them

I don't think you know what you are buying until you really buy it. In all aspects.. ie: performance, harshness, handling, the amount of worries being stolen you have to go through. Is it worth it? it depends, I think it's worth the hazzle, but there are many R owners who just can't stand the worries they have to go through and sold the car. I can understand that. I still think that why buy want an R if you are not going to track it. So, decide what you want and get what you prefer. BTW, R is not that safe for a daily driver, of course, it depends on which area you are from, but sooner or later, you will have to save up again to get a beater.
In terms of stolen rate, your accord is no where coming close to R. Plus, remember the phrase (if they want it, they will get it). Lojack is a joke these days. Go search in history and see how many R's are stolen and how many of them have lo-jack. The thing is these thiefs are prepared to overcome these highest tech anti-thief devices on your car. They aren't low-life kids running around down the street and try breaking into your car when they see it.
I hope this help. BTW, my R is stolen right from my indoor secured garage in my house at night.

Thieves are the main reason I opted out of an R. Especially living in the SF bay area.
