Default Troubles after clutch install.

Ok just replaced the clutch in my friends 89 crx SI. Clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing everything went in perfect and everything was torqued to specs. We put the transmission back in bolted it up,put the axles in droppred the car ,started it up and it drove fine, to the end of my driveway. My drive has a sloped curb at the end ofit and he drove off at an angle and as he was going over it POP! now the car wouldnt move at all,any gear. We pushed it back into the gargae took the drive axle off started the car and the splines inthe transmission that drive the axle were turning, so I oput the axle back in drove the car to teh end of the drive way, same thing same spot, so thinking we could paoosibly have a abd axle we went to the local autozone and picked up a new drive axle, installe dit still no luck, now the car wont even move at all. If I start the car in gear on teh jack stands the left (drivers side) axle will spin, but if I grab it it stops and the other axle never turns what so ever. I'm at a total lose here on what could be wrong, my guess is something in the transmission. Anyone have any idea? Thanks for all your help

may be your differential. if you put it on the stands and put it in gear and let the clutchout, do you hear a grinding, or a soft clank clank noise?

Make sure the clutch cable didn't slip. This happened to me, very similar. I installed a clutch, went driving around town and 10 minutes later POP. The clutch cable just slipped. I got it home by clutchless shifting, adjusted the clutch cable (the **** part) and it's been fine since! Easy fix, so see if that's it!
