Does anyone have experience with Megan Racing Strut bars?
I just saw a thread in the Suspension Sponsor Forum about a Megan Racing Front and Rear upper and lower strut bars for $100 for all 4. That is WAAAY cheap and the saying "You get what you pay for" comes to mind. However like any good bargain shopper I would at least like to explore this option now before I find out I let a good deal slide by.
[QUOTE=RobearRacing]We have put together a strut bar combo for people interested in having a full tie bar set-up.

The Megan Racing Strut Bar ties the strut towers together in order to get out the most from your suspension to improve handling and stability. We also make front lower tie bar, rear upper bar and rear lower tie bar for some models. Each strut bar is constructed from CNC machined 6061 billet aluminum, very strong and last very long. Special unique style and the 1.75” width with 0.75” thick bar make them stand out even more.
The combo includes:
Front Upper
Front Lower
Rear Upper
Rear lower
We have the following applications:
88-00 Civic
94-01 Integra
Price: $100 plus S/H

well a strut bar is a strut bar ...
and i haven't heard of that name brand before ...
if ur giong to use it just for show, then that is a bargain, then if ur using it for performance, then ur buying the wrong stuff

Im one of those show guys who likes the occasional romp so suspension mods have always been a pita for me to choose. I dont see how a strut bar could negatively effect performance, however I can see how a stronger bar would reduce flex more then a show designed weaker bar. What do you all think about these in regards to my situation?

hmm.. Megan, or Mugen?
Hands down. i think that you seriously get what you pay for in this case. The quality isn't as strong as you can really get to those bars. Don't you loose strength in the bars if they are adjustable?

I think it should be ok to use. It obviously would not have the "show off" factor that most guys here need to live.
I've never heard of strut tower bars or braces breaking or bending so i dont think poor craftsmanship would be an issue. Since all of these bars are adjustable, fit should not be an issue if its made for our cars.
Just keep in mind these are only meant to be reinforcements. IMHO, a generic one works just as well branded one.
Of all the bars i've used, the most noticible is the front strut tower bar. The only bar that i would consider spending more money on is one of those three point strut tower braces.
My vote will always be function over vanity.

So, as long as those bars are not hollow they should be good right?
I think the lower rear bar and rear upper bar are also necessary.
I would get sway bar in the rear definitely over all these.
PS. Read the article of team-integra on sway bars and strut bars. They do say to stay away from non-brand strut bars. So..??
