Hi Crank, First I want to tell you that, I have a Integra TypeR 01 and I bought it for 16,500.00. I purchased it in Dec 03, (nice birthday and christmas gift, I don't regret it at all
. So a year has already passed. So since you are looking at a 97, take off 4000 from my price (minus 1 grand per year) and then take off another 1000(because a year has passed). I think it is a pretty good deal. Find out what exactly happen to the car. When, where, how it was wrecked. Or aleast find out the city it was wrecked in and you can go and get a Police Report yourself, I think there like 15 to 20 bucks but if your going to be making a 11000 payment its worth it. See if the person has records of oil changes and any type of maintenance done by a licensed shop. Usually they put the miles that were on it at the time of repair. I just don't want anyone to get cheated, because it is very easy to turn back the miles on anycar. It doesn't matter if its electronic or dial. I know I have seen it done. Its easier on digital odometers. Let us know how it turns out. Later.

i just wonder what happened to the original motor? if its salvaged, sounds like it was either stolen/stripped, or was in an accident and needed to get a new motor. sounds pretty fishy to me, but for 11,500 it might be worth it. Id definitely have to give a close inspection though.
Damn... thats a great price... but yeah... like the other said, get it inspected. Shoot, why couldn't I find great deals like this in my area... thats twice as cheap as my car...

It was posted here on h-t. The owner also has other ones for sale that he also rebuilt.
I believe they were theft recoveries and totally stripped. The guy added the interior and motor etc.
Look for the post here on honda-tech.

D1deez is the one selling those cars..and that car had its interior and motor stolen..which gave the car its title that it has. Personally I think its a great deal..cause it drive and performs as well as a non-salvaged title type R would
inspect the the body lines that is one way to tell and look at the spacing between the dors and things thike that on the outside of the car the test drive it to see if it is mechanicaly sound
