Default how high can you keep a steady rpm with a regular d15b2?

well i've been prepping my car for autocross and haven't done anything with the engine, and i was wondering how high i can keep a steady rpm with a regular d15b2 (dx) without destroying it, been watching some autocross videos and people just keep their rpm above 8000 the whole way (not with a d15b2 of course ). but thansk in advance

unless your mpfi, the b2 starts losing power again after 5k-5.5k, so i doubt youd wanna keep it wound any higher.. do mpfi it makes huge difference!

in an autocross situation, your going to shift to 2nd and worry more about running the course than where your revs are at. if your hit the limitter, so be it. i track my d15 sometimes and i run it from 5g to the limitter and its still running strong. and it just has a headder on it.
