Default Went to the Drag strip tonight...

So I decided to make the 100 mile trip to the closest open drag strip...Sacramento, Ca, it was around 60 degrees at the end of the night.

Car weight was just a hair over 2700+ with me in it...full interior, need to remove some weight

Car was running on 91 octane, with 205-45/15 Nitto NT-555R tires(2 years old) on stock rims, back tires were 215-45/16.

Great times for having 2700lb. Are the dyno graphs from DSR/Comptech the most recent? I think you had 191 to the wheels? What were you launching at?

The dyno's are recent...so I'm at 191 at the wheels...but that was with an alternator putting out 13.5 volts, not sure if there would be much of a differnce since I fixed it.

Launching at 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500...I had best results at 4000, and 4500, anything higher and I'd just spin the tires, which happened to be inflated to 17psi cold, around 20 psi after the run.

Time to go to bed...have to leave in 5 hours

It is near Sea Level.

I just did some computations, and if this engine was in a 1600 lb track only drag car it would be around a 11.6...now imagine if it was a drag only engine But then again they are only mathematical figures.

I ran similar times on street tires with just an intake and header(in my sig)I just pulled a lot of weight out.You should take all of the "useless" stuff out of the car. Those are really impressive times, esspecially considering it has full interior

took a close look at it and it
seems there was almost 2mph
difference in those two runs.
with, very little difference in
60ft times. no idea what that
means just thought i'd point
it out.

The only thing that I can say is that I most likely shifted at a slightly different point, as without a shift light or an accurate tach it is difficult to shift at the same rpm point every time.

I had the helmet sitting on the passenger's floor...never put it on...though next year I will be wearing it so that I don't get a DQ if I have a free run.
