Default Question do i need a camber kit for 16"rims

ok i am thinking of ordering some 16s for my 88 crx, my question is will i have to get anything else to correct the difference in the size of the rims? also it is a 38mm offset and i know that the stock rims on a crx are 45mm offset, will i have to correct any thing with that?also is 7.5X16 a hard tire to come by? i just dont want to have to pay an arm and a leg for tires, thanks alot guys

it all depends on how low you go with your car

38mm offset with a 7.5 width wheel will most likely cause fitment issues between the tire and fenders

You will have to roll in the lip inside the fender a bit, but nothing to drastic.

I've had 14s,15s,16s, and 17s on my crx so far and I have to say I like 16s the best, they aren't huge looking like 17s and not small like certain 15" rims are. Actually a 16" rim with a 205/40/16 tire is .2" smaller than a stock rim/tire with a 185/60/14 tire. Prolly explains why it appears that I have a little wheel gap when with 14s I did not. Its hardly noticeable at all tho. Plus, if u get a lightweight 15" or 16" its gonna be lighter than a stock 14" crx rim that weighs in at 17lbs!!

the issues are not with the profile of the tire but rather with the width of the wheel and where that width is located (the offset). My 38mm offset 15" wheels rubbed before i cut my fenders.

14" = 185R60/14
15" = 195R50/15 or 205R50/15
16" = 205R40/16

no no R = ratio.

205ZR40/16 (Z = tire speed rating)

205 = tire width in mm

40 = side wall height in % of Width (side wall = 40% of 205mm)

16 = wheels size in Inches.
